Food Tech? Why not?

Tomorrow September 13th 2023 marks an important date for us: Verrano will launch publicly together with organic bakery chain biokaiser.

Verrano is a new natural delicacy based on a newly developed process to mature root vegetables. For the first time we get active in the field of food tech. As we knew we needed a super hero team for this we teamed up with two external founders. Max Bubenheim is a head chef and joins us with his expertise in food and food development. Felix Linnenschmidt is an engineer focusing on sustainability and Verranos production scale up. Manuel Siskowski from our side will join as a founder to focus on the brand and sales development.

The new brand will not sell directly to consumers but rather focus on B2B clients in the gastronomy space. The launch partner is biokaiser - the regional go-to bakery for conscious clients. In order to be able to cater all possible clients the product is Bioland certified and fully vegan of course.

In contrast to many food startups Verrano will do all of the production inhouse as the process is key to get the outstanding product quality. Sourcing will be direct together with contract farmers.
